Everything you need to know about renting a storage space

Everything you need to know about renting a storage space.

There are two most common reasons for renting a storage shed. When a company grows and exceeds its expectations, even with the best organisation there will be a shortage of warehouse space. Often, reorganising a warehouse can be very time-consuming and impractical. A warehouse space also works very well as an ideal temporary storage space, especially when it is not for food products. A storage shed can be set up in 1-2 days depending on the size and location of the tent. If you feel that the storage space is becoming cramped, it is worth considering the different options available, for example renting a storage shed.

A warehouse can be an incredibly useful, quick and affordable solution. But there are a few things to consider before pitching up. We've put them together for you, based on years of experience, so you can make the right choice.

Objective.

Before looking for or even buying a rental car, you need to have a clear understanding of its purpose. In the case of a warehouse that is intended to service your warehouse and is likely to be used to store goods or equipment, you should consider whether it is a weatherproof product/equipment. If the latter is environmentally sensitive, then heating equipment should be considered to provide the necessary and correct internal climate within the tent.

The construction of the warehouse deck is designed to accommodate storage bins. The high walls, the storage doors and the sturdy construction ensure stability and practicality. In this respect, it is important to take into account the equipment or items to be stored, so that we can offer a storage rack of the right dimensions and value for money.

Location.

Location is certainly a big advantage for a warehouse. It is possible to pitch a tent or a larger hall on practically any ground. If the storage shed is to be installed in a public place, an additional cost should be considered in the form of a security solution to protect equipment and objects from possible theft.

The tent is usually attached to the ground with stakes to a depth of about 50-100cm. In order to avoid damaging electric cables or water pipes, you should find out whether it is possible to use stakes at all.

If the place where you want to build your storage area is at risk of flooding from rainfall, you should consider storing goods and locate goods or equipment above the ground. In particular, flooding poses a particular risk on asphalt soils where there is no drainage.

Advantages.

No major preparatory work is required for installation on a scaffold, e.g. pouring the foundation, which is also a major advantage of a scaffold. In addition, there are no maintenance costs, e.g. snow clearing, as the tent and the structure are designed for year-round use.
